Abstract:
A total of 48 volunteer subjects, taken from a volunteer pool of incarcerated male adolescent status offenders, were administered the Empathy Test and the Conceptual Level by Paragraph Completion Method Instrument. The hypothesis was tested that an empathy level and a conceptual level can be determined and combined to develop a speedy and more successful treatment structure for male adolescent status offenders. The scores were analyzed using a 2X2 analysis of variance and a Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The results indicated that the two instruments do not significantly determine the treatment structure needed.
