This paper reports on exploratory research using personality measurements to determine differences in normal adults by alcoholic drink preference. Thirty volunteers were solicited from graduate psychology students. All subjects completed a standard psychological test (the California Psychological Inventory). The test scores were evaluated to determine significant differences between three drink choice groups: distilled spirits, wine, and beer. Results of a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) of all 18 subscales of the CPI were inconclusive. Suggestive findings are reported.en_US
